New York New York Treats Two Very Special Ladies to a Makeover

New York New York Salon and Day Spa in conjunction with Glade Valley Nursing Center got to treat two ladies to a full makeover on May 7th, 2009. Wanda Gladhill and Julia Walser experienced a full makeover provided by New York New York including a highlight, haircut, makeup lesson, manicure and pedicure for Wanda. Meanwhile, Julia received a conditioning treatment with haircut, makeup lesson, and signature manicure. Working with Drea Boland and Mary Lee for their style and makeup needs they also worked with Sharon Sanders, senior nail technician for their manicures and pedicures.
The three hour day at the salon and spa was a real treat for Wanda and Julia. According to the staff at Glade Valley, they could not stop raving about how beautiful they looked. The event kicks off a string of outreach programs that New York New York is looking to bring to the Frederick area. The opportunity was a wonderful experience for the entire staff and all of them look forward to continuing their volunteer work to better the community.
"Regardless of age and physical ability, everyone needs someone to look after them and show a true interest in them. It was such a pleasure to have the opportunity to be those people" raves Sharon Sanders about the recent visit. Salon Manager, Kris Fair continues "It was such a pleasure meeting Wanda and Julia; they touched all of our hearts during their visit and was a wonderful experience for all of us."
